Ballet Folklórico Alegría
Ballet Folklórico Alegría is a Pleasanton CA based group established in 2016 with the support of the PUSD Mariachi Program.
BFA’s goal is to share the benefits of dance, encourage personal growth, self esteem and at the same time to share the rich heritage of traditional regional Mexican dances.
Performances
Our repertoire includes music from different regions of México and expands as our group matures. We currently have dances from the Mexican states of Jalisco, Veracruz and Michoacán.
We have performed at the local library, parades, churches, and school district events.
Performers
Performers are local students from Kindergarten thru High School. Most of them started with little or no dancing experience.
If you know someone interested in joining please contact us for more information.
Donations
This is a free program lead 100% by volunteers, costumes and accessories come from donations.
